As the school year gets into full swing, Radio George Washington (WRGW) and the Student Music Coalition (SMC) know just how much the George Washington student body needs a rockin’ start. This upcoming Friday, come to Square 80 for a night of excellent music and college memories at WRGW’s Fall Gig.
WRGW’s Fall Gig acts as a great way to welcome the school year with live music, cheap food, and a chance to create connections with the greater GW community. Since the end of the Spring semester, GW has held very few live music opportunities for students to participate in or attend. Fall Gig has closed a large gap in the GW community, not only allowing musically inclined students to share their passions, but also creating an environment for the greater GW community to relax, listen to music, and meet new people.
As any GW student can attest, it’s not easy to make new friends at a school as independent as this one; Fall Gig is an opportunity for GW students to branch out, be social, and truly feel as if their college experience is one just like the movies.
Starting at 7:30 PM, Square 80 and beyond will be gifted with the intoxicating sounds of SMC-formed bands. The performing groups totter between the smooth R&B sounds of Mafogang, to the uniquely rocking music of SMC-formed Dundrum. Whether you’re a fan of food, friends, or fresh beats, Fall Gig is for you. For the full set list, see below!
