A Letter From The Editor: See Ya In Person (Hopefully)

Hey Locals,

So here we are, we have officially completed a whole year of virtual classes, meetings, and events. Though this year was especially challenging, I feel incredibly proud and fortunate to have been able to post The Local every week.

This year, we expanded our creative envelope and added an “Opinion” section to our website. This section has served as a valuable outlet for staff writers and members of the GW community to express their thoughts and feelings during this tumultuous time. A subsection of the “Opinion” section is “Local Voices,” which we have ramped up to provide even more opportunities for self expression and creativity. I feel extremely lucky to have gained more exposure as an organization and thus received multiple submissions to this section throughout second semester. Next year, we hope to expand this section further and increase our advertising for it via social media. If you would like to contribute to “Local Voices,” submit a piece of your own writing through the “Contact” page on our website.

I would like to personally thank the 16 talented members of The GW Local family for their unparalleled support and loyalty. Our Wednesday night meetings looked very different from previous semesters, but our team never failed to bring their passion and enthusiasm to the table

With that being said, I’d like to announce the E-Board for the 2020-2021 School Year:
